Youth Art Studios are a wonderful opportunity for young artists to get direct instruction from one of our artist-instructors. These tuition-based classes are offered in a variety of media for ages 5 – 18 and vary in length from 4 –8 sessions. Students work on projects throughout the week as they delve into art topics, explore different media, and new ways of making. Homeschool classes are also available..
Class enrollment is limited to 10 to 15 students per class guaranteeing one-on-one instruction and allowing the artist-instructor to get to know students and their work. Please review registration guidelines and policies prior to registering.
Student release form should be completed and sent to communityart@866kq.com. Those registering online will be prompted to fill out the form after completing the student registration. NOTE: All forms must be completed prior to the start of the first class.

Back by popular demand, this course builds on primary art explorations and is designed with the youngest artists in mind. Daily projects will be created using techniques like collage, sculpture, painting, drawing, and more!
Curious, creative children interested in exploring different types of art making will love this class! This class will focus on learning different techniques with a variety of media. From drawing with charcoal, and oil pastels, to watercolor painting, and collage, students will explore a new media and topic each week with open ended projects that allow them to carve their own artistic path.
Students will dive into the wide world of printmaking and be introduced to multiple techniques. Beginning level students will be able to explore methods from relief printing to silk screening.
Designed for budding artists, these classes explore various mediums, techniques, and styles to help teens express their unique vision. Guided by experienced instructors, participants build confidence, refine their skills, and connect with peers who share a passion for art.
This program class will empower teen artists/designers by equipping them with the necessary skills to succeed in digital media while fostering creativity and technical proficiency in this introductory course in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

This class will continue to build the necessary skills to succeed in digital media while fostering creativity and technical proficiency. NOTE: This is an intermediate course in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
Take your art to the next level with Teen Studio Intensive! This advanced program is designed for dedicated young artists eager to refine their skills and develop a professional portfolio. Under the mentorship of expert instructors, participants dive deep into techniques, explore innovative concepts, and engage in critical discussions about their work.
This program is for middle school students in 6th-8th grade. The program is open enrollment and provides a serious studio learning environment with hands on projects in several mediums. Students will be able to grow their breadth and understanding of art making practices, learn about reviewing and critiquing artworks, as well as participate in an end of the year market.
These five-session studio classes meet once a month from January through May. Classes are geared to creative minded and artistically motivated middle and high school students and aims to assist students with art making foundations and introduce new techniques; high school students will also focus on portfolio development. NOTE: SP1: Grades 9–12 will meet the First Saturday of the month, and SP2: for grades 6–8 will meet on the Second Saturday of the month.
